About the master class:

Concrete as an art or a way of artistic expression has always been among the most accessible materials for the realization of the author's ideas. Because it is incredibly plastic before - and at the same time very strong after - curing. These material properties allow you to create large and amazing projects using a simple set of simple components such as sand, cement and water. Among the masters who are keen on studying the properties and possibilities of the material, there are many who, thanks to their practical activities and constant experiments, create their own techniques and methods of working with concrete. Participants of the master class will not only be able to get acquainted with one of these techniques, but also become the creators of a grandiose art object that will replenish the collection of the Concrete Museum and will be available to the general public in 2021 upon completion of the exposition. 

About the project:

To implement the idea of the Museum of Concrete, a 12-meter light installation will be made as part of the master class, consisting of concrete sconces made in an unconventional technique by a master from Sochi@betoneed. 

The practical part of the course includes:

Working with non-traditional concrete creation techniques: from creating forms from available materials to post-processing and installation.
